This dress was created for beautiful bride Gemma who designed her dream wedding dress with me.
Gemma was a Bride Who Dared To Be Different and wanted a dress that was like a fairy-tale and that’s certainly what I brought to life for her 😊.

“Becky has made my dream dress come true! I started searching for my dream wedding dress early into wedding planning because I knew I wanted something that was me. Anyone who knows me knows a normal white (or white variant) dress was never going to be right for me. So apparently it is very hard to find not normal dresses in Australia! Becky saw me posting out of desperation on Facebook and made contact. She did not push her business on me and instead offered things I could look for and encouraged me to go to dress shops to see what styles I liked to try and narrow it down. The experiences at bridal stores were interesting. Some tried to help, and some fobbed me off as soon as they realised I wasn’t the typical bride. I found pictures of a dress I loved online, but sadly no one in Australia stocked it and would only order it in if I guaranteed I would buy it (um no!). Plus, I am short so any dress was going to need significant alterations that would go on top of any dress purchase. I was super scared to design a dress and then have it made without seeing it in person (this was made worse as I have no ability to picture things in my head). Becky soothed all my anxiety and fears. Becky showed me photos, and videos along the way. She was so patient with going through the fabrics and answering my silly questions along the way. I also appreciated Becky’s professional knowledge and that she would tell me if a design aspect was not going to work and let me know why. I finally got to see my dress in person yesterday. I absolutely love it! Although it needs some extra alterations (the height is perfect), Becky was able to call up her usual alteration’s lady right then and there to get it booked in. I am so excited to wear my dream dress down the aisle to marry my soul make. Thank you so much Becky!” Bride Gemma picked her fabrics in person (I have hundreds of colours to choose from). She received a sketch, photos and videos from start to finish and was able to approve each step of the design through the dressmaking process.
Like with all my brides Gemma customised her dress throughout the dress creation process, as I sent her photos and videos throughout and she was able to design her exact lace outline on her dream wedding dress.
Unlike a bridal store which only takes 3 measurements. That often results in extensive alterations! I customised Gemma’s wedding dress to her individual 25 measurements. That’s the A Bride To Be. Dare To Be Different, difference ……. we are a fully customised dress design experience.
All our fabrics are designed for the Australian bride, which means we use the finest fabrics of silk/satins, soft tulles and cotton laces which feel like luxury against the skin and breathe against the skin…. So, our brides are comfortable whether their day be in the heat of the Australian summer or spring.
Bride Gemma received photos and videos from start to finish and was able to approve each step of the design through the dressmaking process.
As well as the wedding and bridesmaid dresses being customised to her individual 25 measurements, unlike a bridal store which only takes 3 measurements. That often results in extensive alterations!
