Gemma Sanford – Bride Review
Becky has made my dream dress come true! 👗✨
I started searching for my dream wedding dress early into wedding planning because I knew I wanted something that was me. Anyone who knows me knows a normal white (or white variant) dress was never going to be right for me. Apparently it’s very hard to find “not normal” dresses in Australia!
Becky saw me posting out of desperation on Facebook and reached out. She didn’t push her business on me — instead she offered helpful advice on what to look for and encouraged me to try on styles in stores to narrow it down.
Some bridal store experiences were… interesting. Some tried to help, others dismissed me when they realised I wasn’t the typical bride. I found a dress online that I loved, but no one in Australia stocked it and would only order it if I guaranteed I’d buy it (um no!).
Being short, I knew alterations would be significant on top of any dress purchase. I was honestly terrified to design a dress and have it made without seeing it in person — especially as I struggle to picture things in my head. Becky soothed all my anxiety and fears. 🤍
She sent photos and videos along the way, was incredibly patient going through fabrics, and answered all my (sometimes silly) questions. I truly appreciated her professional knowledge — she would gently explain if something wouldn’t work and why.
I finally saw my dress in person yesterday and I absolutely love it! Even though it needs some extra alterations (height is perfect!), Becky immediately contacted her usual alterations lady and booked me in on the spot.
I am so excited to wear my dream dress down the aisle to marry my soulmate. 💍💖
